About Us

The Story

Urban Fit, Inc. was started by Carl Beigler and Tara Pendergraft Beigler, two local entrepreneurs with a passion for fitness that transcends the “typical” gym. Both Carl and Tara have engaged in various fitness programs their entire lives. While they enjoyed many local fitness options they couldn’t seem to find the fitness home of their dreams, so they built it! They designed a facility in the suburbs that offers the class variety and advanced training you typically find in big, urban cities.  They created Urban Fit as a place where people of all ages and fitness levels feel welcomed. Walking into Urban Fit you’ll find innovative coaches and creative classes in a motivating environment. You’ll also find a community of people having fun and supporting each other to become stronger and healthier.

Carl Beigler

Carl is a fitness enthusiast! As Co-Owner of Urban Fit, Carl embodies all of our core values. He is a seemingly endless source of knowledge, support, motivation, and positivity. With Coach Carl you can always count on a creative and challenging workout. Every class and training session is a chance to learn how far you can push yourself and obtain goals you may have never thought possible.

Tara Pendergraft Beigler

Clients come into Urban Fit every day with goals they want to accomplish and Urban Co-Owner, Tara works hard to get them to that goal. Health and wellness is a true passion of Tara’s and she loves inspiring that fervor for fitness in others. In a class with Tara you’ll be met with lots of energy, endless encouragement and constructive coaching to get you to your next level!

MEET THE TEAM

Marquita has always prioritized a healthy, active lifestyle. When she got to college, she realized she had a knack for leading people in their own fitness goals. For over a decade, Marquita has been a certified trainer, constantly adding to her craft and thinking of new ways to leave you feeling sore the next day! She’s mastered the perfect balance of pushing you to your limit while keeping you coming back for more.

When it comes to Kathy Bareuther, the old saying “change is the only constant” has never been truer. Unchallenged by the group fitness classes at traditional gyms, Kathy decided to be the change she wanted to see in her workouts. She became a certified trainer dedicated to creating unique and challenging workouts that would push herself and others to higher levels of fitness. Kathy found the perfect home in Urban Fit where her vast knowledge across multiple fitness areas can really shine. SGX, TRX, HIIT, Kickboxing, Strength Training – you name it, Kathy has a killer workout for you!

Kathy Bareuther

Karen fell in love with yoga from her very first class. She immediately reaped the mental benefits of yoga and shortly thereafter felt the physical benefits. Yoga became a healthy way to medicate the stressors of work, life and relationships and she wanted to share that antidote with as many people as possible. In class, Karen puts her students first. The calming nature and thoughtful variations of her classes ensure that yogis of all tenures leave class feeling better than when the arrived.

Karen Martin

Andrew has been a multi-sport athlete his entire life, playing sports throughout high school and college. After college Andrew continued to be active, routinely working out and lifting but not really seeing any results. Then, Andrew was introduced to CrossFit® and it changed his life for good. He put his time, passion and focus into this newfound “sport.” His years of playing on teams as a student athlete, made him a natural coach. Andrew is constantly expanding his coaching skills and using them to impact the lives of everyone around him.

Andrew Coyle

Nicole believes that exercise and nutrition are the foundation to both physical and mental health. She began her personal quest towards fitness as a mission of self-improvement. Nicole quickly realized that she not only loved challenging herself to reach new levels, but she really enjoyed teaching and inspiring that passion in others. Nicole became a certified instructor to share the things she loved with others and help them achieve their goals right alongside of her.

Nicole Wargo

Lee Kronmiller is passionate about helping people become better versions of themselves. Lee is devoted to physical health both in his profession as a physical therapist and in his favorite recreational activity – CrossFit®. Lee loves the constant variations and competitive nature that keeps CrossFit® fun and the “down to business” WODs that make fitness an attainable goal for everyone. You’ll find that mix of fun and focus in Lee’s classes, where his expertise and excitement towards fitness come alive!

Lee Kronmiller

A thirst for knowledge and an innate desire to try new things led Nate Power to coaching CrossFit®. Nate is fascinated by the programming of the sport and how it’s very technical lifts and exercises are comprised of movements we use in everyday life. CrossFit’s masterful blend of the technical and the functional is embodied in each of Nate’s WODs where his lighthearted and personal approach coaches classes through an in depth knowledge of skills that will lead them to their fitness goals.
